FONT CHEATER: Applying brushes to text outlines
A friend made a beautiful font using Calligraphr, a free font-making site. I tried making a font by using Ai to apply brushes to type outlines, but it was too complex to translate in Calligraphr or other free font apps such as Glyphr (resembling bunches of pixels squashed together, or clear but with areas missing). I figured I can still use this method as a "font cheater" within my surface design work in Ai, and am sharing in case you'd like to play around with converting type to outlines, then applying brushes. For this font cheater, I created a simple scatter brush using a circle, sized to the final size of the word.
